How fast is brisk walking? As it’s different for everyone, you have to decide what is brisk for you. It’s been described as walking as though you are late for an important appointment, so it will be considerably faster than you normally walk. More recently, someone has suggested that you should be able to talk as you walk but not sing. We know quite a few walkers who should never sing whatever they are doing.
It’s tricky finding the right speed, but if you can find your level you will be getting the most benefit from your walking without struggling. Good luck.
