I think it’s about time that I introduced my helpers.
I, obviously, need some help with the blog and a few other things to keep the info flowing.
Chis and Roger are retired teachers and have been, walking, all over Europe in events large and small and have been involved in planning, organising and leading walks for more years than they admit to. They have been involved in sports, training and coaching for even longer so they reckon they are up to the job. Over the last few years they have been researching the effects of walking on health and fitness so they have obviously something to share. But don’t worry because I’ll be around keeping an eye on things. Enjoy your walking, The Walking Bug.
This blog has been created to share information about the benefits of walking from research projects from all over the world. The information comes from trusted sources and is passed on for information purposes. Although walking, including brisk walking is a natural and safe activity, if you act on this information, you do so at your own risk. We can accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury, however caused as a result of using this information.
If you are unsure about starting a walking programme please talk to your doctor.
Walking is not a dangerous activity but is greatly undervalued by many people. We hope you can get as much pleasure, health benefit and sense of achievement from walking as we have and still do.
